suzy’s styling tips

  1. I always tell my clients that the partner who calls the design shots for styling your home should pick their session wardrobe first and then build everyone else’s look around that.   
  2. Purchase, wash, iron/dry clean, and lay out the outfits for your entire family the week before your session.
  3. If you don't like how it looks and makes you feel when you're wearing it at home, you won't like how it looks in the pictures. Wear longer sleeves and more flowing tops if you need more grace around your arms and tummy area. Darker colors are always a little bettter at disguising our more problematic areas. When in doubt, text me a picture of what you are working with and I will help you pick what works for your particular session and body type.
  4. For the guys - haircuts should take place at least one week out from your session date, fresh cuts do not photograph well. For women - the opposite is true.
  5. Providing my Maternity and Newborn clients with access to my studio wardrobe is just one way I can help add ease to the planning of your session. Sizes fit a range of body types. Clients are welcome to stop by once their session is booked to see all the options and try on in person, you are also welcome to bring your own wardrobe to the session.
